About me

Hello! I am Yana Morgan

An artist, art therapist, and сo-founder of Art Scent Experience. If I could describe myself in just a few words, I'd say I'm an artist on the move. Born and raised in Odesa, my passion for poetry and painting has been with me since childhood. Unable to contain my creativity within boundaries, I transformed them into frames for my vibrant canvases. Travelling extensively, my art becomes a journey to myself, where each brushstroke is a new step in my aesthetic experiment.

Art-therapy

Art therapy is a form of psychotherapy that combines the creative process of drawing, painting, sculpting, or other forms of art to help individuals express themselves, explore their feelings, resolve issues, and achieve personal development. In art therapy, the emphasis is placed on the process of creation rather than the end result, so even individuals with little experience in art can benefit from this method.

I employ various methods in art therapy, taking into account the needs and individual characteristics of each client. These include:

Sensory painting:

Clients have the opportunity to experiment with paints, textures, and forms, using different materials to create their works. This allows them to express their emotions and feelings through art.

Colour reading:

I use color as a means of expressing the emotions and states of my clients. Each colour can have specific associations and meanings that help in uncovering internal conflicts and needs.

Expressive drawing:

This method allows clients to express their feelings and emotions through quick and spontaneous drawing without using words. It facilitates the exploration of subconscious processes and internal resources.

Interpretation of artworks:

During sessions, I engage in conversations with clients about their works, helping them uncover the meaning and significance of their creations. This promotes a deeper understanding of their feelings and thoughts.

Sessions

Group Session:

Group creativity provides participants with opportunities for self-expression while also influencing intra-group communication dynamics.

Corporate Session/Team Building:

It positively impacts the atmosphere and interaction within the team. Through the process, individuals develop the ability to establish close, resilient relationships with their surroundings.

Couples Session:

In collaborative work, interaction on the canvas allows for the exploration of personal boundaries. It draws attention to how these boundaries may be breached in relation to personal space and respect for the partner's space. During the joint creation of a painting, you get to know your partner better, sense their mood, and harmonise the colours on the canvas.

Online Session:

It's possible to conduct an art therapy session online, allowing clients from any part of the world to participate. Through video conferencing platforms, we can still engage in meaningful therapeutic work, explore creativity, and delve into self-expression regardless of geographical location.
